We serve corporate catering events, festivals, and private gatherings, creating memorable food experiences. We are hiring a Food Truck & Catering Operations Manager to oversee truck operations, team management, and event execution during peak season, while assisting with outside sales and business growth in the off-season. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

Food Truck & Event Operations (Peak Season: April - October)

  • Drive & operate the food truck to vending and catering locations.
  • Manage & lead the team during events, ensuring efficiency and exceptional service.
  • Cook & oversee food preparation, maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Handle event logistics, including setup, takedown, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Train and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to safety, service, and cooking procedures.
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations at all times.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, handling ordering and tracking.
  • Represent the brand professionally, engaging with clients, event organizers, and customers.

Catering & Sales Support (Off-Season: November - March)

  • Generate new catering business by reaching out to businesses, corporate clients, and event planners.
  • Follow up with past clients to secure repeat bookings and referrals.
  • Assist with catering proposals and scheduling, ensuring seamless event execution.
  • Conduct door-to-door outreach, developing new business relationships.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to support lead generation and marketing efforts.
  • Assist with truck maintenance & preparation to ensure readiness for the next season.
  • Flexible remote work options and opportunities for extended time off during the off-season.

General Management & Leadership

  • Oversee daily food truck operations and act as a key leader in the company.
  • Identify ways to improve efficiency, reducing waste and increasing profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health codes, permits, and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the owner & sales team to align operations with business goals.

Compensation & Incentives

  • \$60,000/year base salary (salaried, no overtime) + bonuses, commission & profit-sharing
  • 5% commission on new corporate catering sales brought in
  • Event-based bonuses for achieving sales targets
  • Year-end profit-sharing bonus based on company profitability (encourages smart staffing & waste reduction)
  • Year-end bonus based on sales growth + profit-sharing performance
  • 2,000 annual work hours (equivalent to 10 days PTO)
  • Weekly Pay for financial stability

  • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long hours, and work in varying outdoor conditions.
  • Must be available for peak season (April - October), including weekends and evenings.

Full-Time Truck Manager/Grillmaster ($30/hr + tips)

  • Flexible Scheduling: Choose between working three longer days to achieve approximately 40 hours, allowing for additional days off, or distributing hours over more days based on event schedules and personal preference.
